Valarmathi B is an Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. She specializes in service learning, taxation laws, auditing, and general management. Her research focuses on teaching-learning strategies in higher education, aiming to improve student experiences. Valarmathi leads initiatives at the Centre for Service Learning, bridging academic theory with practical community work. She integrates service-learning projects with government schemes to promote financial literacy and social impact in underprivileged communities. She has co-edited two Scopus-indexed books, contributing to the discourse on service learning and student engagement. Valarmathi has participated in various national and international conferences. She also guides PhD scholars in their research work. Currently, Valarmathi serves as the Director for the Centre for Service Learning and Coordinator of the Centre for Social Action. She holds copyrights on two models: University Social Responsibility and Service Learning Phases.
